Coming up: #ECRchat on open-access publishing, 7 Aug 2014

The next live #ECRchat is Thursday 7 August at 11:00-12:00 in the UK (BST), 12:00-13:00 in Europe (CEST), 20:00 in Sydney (AEST). This chat will be co-hosted by Sarah Seaton (@saraheseaton), Medical Statistician at the University of Leicester and Annelies Vredeveldt (@anneliesvrede), Research Fellow at VU University Amsterdam.

In recent years a lot of attention has been paid to open-access (OA) publishing, but it is still not clear to every ECR what OA entails exactly, which journals are reputable, and how to get funding for covering the costs of OA publishing. This #ECRchat is a chance to explore any issues relating to OA. We will discuss its advantages and disadvantages, and people will be encouraged to share their own experiences with OA publishing. We will also give some advice (and ask for tips from other ECR chatters) on where to find funding for OA publishing.

See you then!
